Massachusetts Travel - Boston to the Berkshires

Western Mass and Berkshires Travel

The small towns nestled among the Berkshire Mountains are a peaceful setting for a vacation at any time of the year. The area is known, not only for its quaint antique shops and beautiful scenery, but also for its sophisticated arts programs. There are museums, outdoor theater, and musical performances to enjoy. Every summer the Boston Symphony Orchestra performs at Tanglewood in Lenox. In the winter there is great skiing, and in the summer there camping. Also, don't miss Stockbridge and the Norman Rockwell Museum.

Here are some feature articles on Western Massachusetts:

Norman Rockwell's Stockbridge

Norman Rockwell spent his later years painting in Stockbridge, and today the town celebrates his legacy.
