The Asian community celebrates its heritage and the life and death of Chinese patriot-poet Qu Yuan (340-278 B.C.) with the annual dragonboat races. The day includes handmade, brightly colored boats powered by paddlers; arts and crafts; performances; and other activities for children and adults.
