The Boston Common Tree Lighting ceremony includes festivities such as a special skating show at Frog Pond (located on Boston Common). The tree lighting festivites are scheduled from 6-8 p.m.
The Boston Common holiday tree is donated by Nova Scotia each year as a thank you for assistance at the 1917 Halifax Explosion.
